You CANNOT place the Mod Staging Folder INSIDE the Game Directory, people were doing that left and right, and messing up their games, so Tannin had to update Vortex so it wouldn't allow people to continue to make that mistake. When you change the staging folder Vortex will move the existing staging folder (defaults to c:\users\\appdata\roaming\vortex\\mods) with your existing mods that you previously installed through Vortex to the new location.

So I just downloaded fallout 4 and was going to mod it and what not. I installed it on my D drive because of storage reasons, but this is different than the drive Skyrim SE is currently installed in. Vortex says that mods can't be deployed since the staging folder is is on C drive and not D drive with the game. I'm trying to change my staging folder onto a different drive (C:) because the one I used to have I don't have anymore.
